Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – April 2, 2018

Bow-Tie and BroshiDear Friends,

Look at Broshi, all dressed up this Easter weekend.

She likes all this pink and frilly stuff.

I’m not sure I get it, but she’s all into it.

Bow-Tie and Broshi super cuteShe tries to woo me into getting interested in her frilly things.

She’s so cute I can hardly resist, yet I find it difficult to show enthusiasm for pink frills.

I’m a manly cat.

Bow-Tie and BroshiHer soft, meowing please finally get to me.

I don’t really share her interest in pink frills, but I can help her.

I can give her someone who will love all her frilly things, and spend time with her.

Broshi with her bearAs soon as I put Mr. Teddy the Bear next to her, she was immediately attracted to him.

She gave him a sweet little kiss – and I think he kissed her back.

She sensed his love of colorful things and she liked him very much.

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – March 26, 2018

Bow-Tie dislikes the cold daysDear Friends,

What’s going on here?

The calendar says spring has sprung, but there’s a cold front in most places.

Even here in Florida the chill is in the air.

Broshi and I have taken to sleeping most of the day away just to stay warm.

Bow-Tie just thought of somethingSleeping all the time doesn’t leave much time for anything else and it often gets boring.

But it’s tough to get out of this warm bed.

And then…

…I had a great idea!

Bow-Tie enjoys optionsWhy not bring some snacks into bed with us?

When snacks are called for, they must bear the Bow-Tie seal of approval.

Ahhh… Bow-Tie snack crackers, now we’re talking.

And they come in flavors!

Bow-Tie enjoys the day with Broshi and snacksWho wouldn’t love Bow-Tie snack crackers?

Everybody will love them!

Bow-Tie shows the breakfast of championsSo, next time it’s cold out and you take to your bed to stay warm, get some Bow-Tie snack crackers.

It’s the true Breakfast of Champions!

Bow-Tie winks and Broshi licks her lipsMoral of this story?

When the snacks are gone and Broshi is licking her lips in approval, it’s a good day in Bow-Tieville!

See you next week.

Love,
Bow-Tie

Not sure what that’s all about, but I’m in for the fun.

Bow-Tie has a really big bow tieThis bow tie is bigger than my normal bow ties…

…but it’s a special occasion, so I decided to go big.

Bow-Tie looking at BroshiLittle Broshi wanted to celebrate and put her pretty green dress on.

Should I let her sit with me?

Should I let her celebrate with me?

Bow-Tie and BroshiThe answer is simple… of course she can.

She’s a little sweetie.

Bow-Tie and BroshiJust look at her cute little face.

Who could resist?

Broshi is ready to goHi Everybody!

It’s me…

…Ambrosia, but you can call me Broshi.

I’m all dressed up, because I went to a party. Bow-Tie is letting me tell you about it.

Broshi, Nancy Colby, and BettyIt was a fancy luncheon for the benefit of cats and dogs.

I got to sit at the table with all the other ladies.

Lunch is servedMy nose started working overtime when the food was served.

I’m not quite sure what it was, but it smelled good.

Broshi wonders what's for lunchNo reason not to take a closer sniff.

A well mannered lady doesn’t touch, so I didn’t.

Broshi and RoxanneOne of the pretty ladies there wanted to hold me.

She was very nice and had a good lap.

Next time I think I’ll wear a hat.

Broshi took the bedAll in all it was a wonderful day…

…but I was very tired when I got home.

Bow-Tie said I needed a nap.

Broshi tired at the end of the dayThank you to all the ladies who made the day so much fun, and for supporting the animals.

Thank you to all of you for reading about my adventure.

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – February 26, 2018

Bow-Tie, the dapper gentDear Friends,

My name is Bow-Tie.

My style is dapper.

My trademark is the bow tie.

This should not come as a surprise to anyone.

I’ve been around for a while and you have all seen my dapperness (that’s my word.)

What you may not know is, I am very careful to match my surroundings.

By that I mean I choose my bow tie based on my event.

Bow-Tie matches his surroundingsOne very important event is eating.

So, what else…

…but a bow tie that matches my bowl and placemat.

Broshi shows off her bow tieSometimes one of the girls get in my space.

She knows she can stay if she comes dressed for the occasion…

…and Broshi knows how to strut her stuff.

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – December 18, 2017

Bow-Tie is sleepyDear Everyone,

I’m a little sleepy this week.

And I’m not even wearing a bow tie here in public.

There’s good reason, though.

It has been cold here this week and I’m just too comfortable under the covers to move too fast.

Bow-Tie makes sure Broshi is goodI’ve also been making sure baby Broshi stays warm enough.

She comes to bed with me and I make sure she’s all tucked in.

Bow-Tie checks on BroshiOnce I know she’s comfortable, I can relax.

Bow-Tie is comfortable with BroshiAnd just when we’re all warm and snuggly it happens.

Just as we doze off, we feel it.

Bow-Tie has a full bedThat big lug of a dog plops in for some Bow-Tie warmth and lovin’.

That’s okay.

We should always have room in our heart for one more.

Have a happy week!

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – December 4, 2017

Bow-Tie waking upDear Friends,

It’s that time of year again.

Big yawn, because it’s the same old thing every year.

It’s the time of year we pets call, “Humor the humans.”

Bow-Tie with SantaOne guess what we had to do this weekend.

We had to go see Santa.

I wasn’t impressed, but the little girls wanted to go.

Is Santa choking Broshi? It’s Broshi’s first Christmas, so it was important for her to go.

However…

…when Santa first held her, he put her in a choke hold.

That isn’t good for the cat, or for the photo.

I had to have a talk with him.

Courage and SantaHe did better with Courage.

She’s not one to be put in an awkward position, and I think he knew that.

Pilot and SantaAnd then there was the dog.

She had to have her picture, because it’s her first Christmas too.

Santa with BroshiWe finally got a nice picture of Broshi…

…minus the choke hold, thank you.

Pilot with antlersAll in all it was a fun day and I’ll say this, cats have it better than dogs.

When cats go to see Santa he may not know how to handle us, but we still look good.

Only a dog would allow a human to humiliate them publicly and enjoy it.

You’ll never see a cat wearing stupid antlers.

Happy Santa photos, everyone!

Love,

Bow-Tie

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – November 20, 2017

Bow-Tie in the boothDear Friends,

What a busy and exciting weekend.

We went out of town to a cat show.

The theme of the show was falling leaves, so I wore my bow tie with leaves on it.

The crowd was impressed.

Bow-Tie in the boothMy job at the show was to hold down the booth and make sure things were in order.

The crowd was big and they all wanted to meet me.

My blog fame is astounding… and humbling.

Bow-Tie with his money boxAnother job I had was to watch the Cat Depot donation box.

All the donations go to the Friends Like Me fund for special needs cats.

Broshi taking a restBroshi came with us.

This was her debut into the show ring.

She took a few moments before entering the ring to rest and get her cuteness going.

Broshi getting love from the judgesOnce she entered the ring, the judges fell in love with her.

Each judge took their turn, cuddling this little love bug.

Broshi getting love from the judgesEvery ring was the same thing.

The judges fell under the spell of her sweetness.

Broshi getting some loveThe crowd was drawn to her too.

We don’t even know this lady, but we almost didn’t get Broshi back from her.

Bow-Tie meeting some friends from Cat DepotMe?

I was back at the booth, greeting the crowd.

It was so nice to see two dear Cat Depot friends.

They came a long way just to see me.

Broshi in the hotelCat shows are fun.

We made new friends.

We got donations for the Friends Like Me fund.

We brought awareness and respect to the special needs cats of the world.

Little blind Broshi is just as good as any of those fancy pants cats!

It was a very good weekend.

Love to you all!

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – October 23, 2017

Bow-Tie funny close upHi Friends,

Do I look tired to you?

I’m okay now, but I was very tired on this day.

The photo shoot for this bulletin wore me out.

We were going to have our fall photos done.

It’s that time of the year and I like to have a nice, formal shot.

This year, I wanted to include Broshi, because she’s so cute.

Bow-Tie and BroshiHere’s one of our first shots.

Pretty cute, right?

She’s a pumpkin and I’m wearing one of my fall bow ties.

BroshiBroshi is a good pumpkin.

You probably think she’s going to be the perfect model, don’t you?

So did I.

Photo bombed! The next shot would have been a good one…

…but we were photo bombed by a black invader!

And it went steadily downhill from here.

A paw on Bow-Tie's headShe likes me, I get that.

But we are trying to pose seriously here, and she does this.

Bow-Tie in a pile of leavesThen she covered me with leaves and thought that was great fun.

Bow-Tie and Broshi cuddlingI don’t even know how to explain this one.

Bow-Tie and Broshi cuddlingI guess what she’s trying to tell me is to just lighten up and have fun.

She’s right.

We all need to be less serious and have more fun…

…and it’s better when you do it together.

Have fun!

Love,

Bow-Tie
