Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – August 13, 2018

Bow-Tie isn't feeling wellDear Friends,

I’m a mess.

The years of neglect in that hoarding house I lived in have messed me up.

Every once in a while some deep down virus gunk rears its ugly head.

This was one of those weeks.

Bow-Tie tucked inBut, don’t worry about me.

I just take my medicine and catch a few extra cat naps.

It passes pretty fast now when I have good medical care.

Bow-Tie needs to sneezeUh oh… excuse me…

…I have to sneeze…

Bye bye!

Love you,

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – July 30, 2018

Bow-Tie looking cuteHi Everyone,

Why am I in a dog crate?

Why am I wearing a bow tie with cats AND dogs on it?

It’s because we have another guide dog puppy to raise.

She’s a baby and has a lot to learn.

Bow-Tie samples the dog foodI designated myself her official taste tester, just to make sure her food is good enough.

With no teeth it takes quite a while to even begin to eat one piece, but I do it for her.

Bow-Tie approves of the dog foodIt’s approved!

Bow-Tie eating with the dogJust to make sure she is gentle with other animals, I share her food.

She is gentle, but to tell you the truth, I’m not too fond of this dog chow.

Bow-Tie is not willing to share his foodI like her very much and she’s doing well on her lessons so far.

There is one lesson I’m teaching her that is not in the guide dog instruction manual.

That is…

…she can stare at me all night, but I’m not sharing MY food.

Cats rule, dogs drool.

Have a happy week!

Bow-Tie keeping track of the tableMy Dear Friends,

It was a busy weekend for me.

Broshi and I went to a cat show.

My job was to guard the table full of cards and paintings.

I also had to watch over Broshi.

Watching over Broshi was the easy part and it went well.

Watching the table got a little messy as I walked around amid the merchandise.

Everyone wants to hold BroshiLots of people were coming to meet Broshi.

Everyone wanted to hold her.

Broshi impresses the judgeShe did well in the show ring.

The judges said she was very confident and well adjusted for a little blind girl.

Bow-Tie on tableDo you know what I liked best about the whole day?

The hugs!

Bow-Tie getting hugs and loveThis is a very nice lady who follows my blogs, and she came just to meet me.

She gives good hugs.

Everyone wants to see Bow-TieGuess what?

I am much more popular than I thought.

Once one person came to pet me a crowd gathered.

It was amazing.

The miracle of the little Donut Kitty who set out to educate people about special needs.

That’s me!

Who could ask for anything more?

Bow-Tie with his umbrellaDear Friends,

It has been raining cats and dogs here in Florida.

Every time I think I can go outside, it starts raining.

Bow-Tie with his umbrellaIt’s hard being cooped up inside all the time.

I called my friend Hunter in California.

Hunter upside downHunter says it’s really, really hot there right now, and they don’t have air conditioning.

Hunter is not amused by the heat.

Bow-Tie with his umbrellaHe made me realize something.

There’s weather everywhere. And there’s nothing we can do about it.

So why complain?

See you next week!

Bow-Tie and Broshi with a packageHi Friends!

Guess what?

For the second week in a row, I received a gift!

The gift was addressed to me, but guess who showed up.

Broshi thinks she gets everything.

Bow-Tie checking out the packageThis very special gift came from my kitty friends Blondie, Jackson, and Eddie.

They know I’m a donut kitty, and I think they think that’s cool.

There’s all kinds of goodies inside.

There’s treats, donut play toys, and uh oh…

Bow-Tie got a package with a bow tie…one of the packages even has a bow tie on the front!

Blondie, Jackson, and Eddie sure have a special mom who always remembers me.

What could be inside?

Bow-Tie with a donut pillow and a donut bookIt’s a squishy donut pillow!

There’s a donut pouch and a donut book, too.

This is sooooo cool!

You probably think my face doesn’t reflect my joy.

Bow-Tie sporting a flamingo bow tieDear Friends,

I know it doesn’t show on my face, but I’m very excited.

They’re really small, but there are flamingos on my bow tie.

Why are there flamingos on my bow tie?

Because I got a present in the mail, and it was a flamingo.

(I always try to dress for the occasion.)

Bow-Tie with his new boxAnyway…

I received a package in the mail from my good buddy Mike, who lives in Texas.

At first I thought the box was the gift.

Cats like boxes, you know.

Bow-Tie got a ball! But I chose to open the box to see what was inside.

Out popped a huge flamingo beach ball!

I have always wanted a beach ball and my friend Mike remembered.

It is much bigger than I am.

Bow-Tie getting close to the cameraWhat else do you do with a beach ball but set it afloat.

So off it went.

It was fun to watch the breeze gently steer it around in the water.

Bow-Tie says Thank YouIt’s really nice to be remembered and loved by my Texas friend.

The beach ball made me happy!

Remember to remember your friends.

It will make them happy, too.

Bow-Tie getting a massageDear Friends,

This is Father’s Day weekend.

What is a father?

He’s someone who loves you and takes care of you.

That care may mean giving you a good massage when you need it.

Strong hands give a strong massage.

Bow-Tie getting a chin rubThose strong hands can give a good neck and chin massage, too.

Ahhhh.

Dads can help get the bow tie straightMost of all, a Dad’s hands can make sure your bow tie is on straight.

That’s very important to me.

Bow-tie winksBut do you know what is not Dad-like?

Cats running the streets, making kittens all over the place.

Neuter your cats.

They will thank you for it.

Honest!

Bow-Tie in his favorite chairDear Friends,

So, this morning I got into my favorite chair on the lanai.

My intent was to spend a relaxing morning in the sunshine.

This is my favorite chair that has years of my hair on it to prove it’s mine.
