Bow-Tie posing with a glass and kitty-bottleDear Friends,

Happy Meow Year!

Yep, 2017 is over and we’re onto 2018.

Bow-Tie found a bottle that looks like a catNew Year’s Eve is the night to bring out the fancy black bow tie and the fancy drinks.

Have you ever seen a bottle shaped like a cat before?

Pretty cool.

Bow-Tie posing with a glass and kitty-bottleI’m generally a “glass is half full” guy, but tonight calls for just a little nip…

…catnip, that is.

Bow-Tie peeks into the fallen glassYes, Sir.

Catnip is my kind of New Year’s entertainment.

Bow-Tie looks at the glass, licking his lipsTo me, catnip is lip-smackin’ good!

Bow-Tie with his nipSo eat, drink, and be merry.

Enjoy your New Year.

But no matter what you do, be safe and responsible.

I know my limit on catnip and I don’t let myself have more than I know I can handle.

Bow-Tie gets home early for a cat napAnd I always get home early.

Cat naps, my favorite pastime.

Love you all!

Bow-Tie posing with a presentDear Friends,

Meowy Christmas!

This gift came for me a week ago and I haven’t been allowed to open it.

Today’s the day!

Bow-Tie opens presentHere we go.

The paper says, “Meowy Christmas.” That’s so cute.

It’s from my brother Boston’s mom and dad.

We are all sad Boston went over the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year and we still love him so much.

It was so nice of his mom and dad to remember a few of the Donut Kitties with a special gift.

Bow-Tie has a presentWow. They like to use a lot of tape, which is tough for a guy with no teeth.

Bow-Tie checks out the donutOh my gosh!

I can’t believe it!

Donut toys!

Bow-Tie discovers it's catnip!Uh oh… wait a minute…

…there’s catnip in them!

Catnip donut toys!

Way to go, Boston’s mom and dad!

Bow-Tie licks the donut toyThis is a great present!

Bow-Tie posing with his new toysI am very thankful for this gift.

I am very thankful for family and friends.

I am very thankful for YOU.

Love you all,

Meowy Christmas!

Bow-Tie is sleepyDear Everyone,

I’m a little sleepy this week.

And I’m not even wearing a bow tie here in public.

There’s good reason, though.

It has been cold here this week and I’m just too comfortable under the covers to move too fast.

Bow-Tie makes sure Broshi is goodI’ve also been making sure baby Broshi stays warm enough.

She comes to bed with me and I make sure she’s all tucked in.

Bow-Tie checks on BroshiOnce I know she’s comfortable, I can relax.

Bow-Tie is comfortable with BroshiAnd just when we’re all warm and snuggly it happens.

Just as we doze off, we feel it.

Bow-Tie has a full bedThat big lug of a dog plops in for some Bow-Tie warmth and lovin’.

That’s okay.

We should always have room in our heart for one more.

Have a happy week!

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – December 11, 2017

Can you ear me?Dear Friends,

Can you ear me?

Light on Bow-Tie in the boxLet’s shed some light on the subject.

I’m so happy this time of the year.

Bow-Tie in the boxThis is the time of year us cats are entertained by the simplest thing…

…a cardboard box.

We love cardboard boxes.

Any size, any shape, any condition.

Bow-Tie is king of the boxThe box provides a great lookout post.

We can watch everything from this viewpoint and not be bothered by anyone.

Bow-Tie peeks over box edgeWe like the ones that hold our whole body…

…but give us the flexibility to peek out if we want to.

Bow-Tie looks out from boxWe can spend the whole day in the box, surveying our little world.

(Yes, I know the one nail needs to be clipped. We’re on it, don’t worry.)

Bow-Tie in the boxSo humans, you’ve probably got a lot of boxes around the house right now.

A new one may be arriving every day.

Before you throw anything out, remember your cat…

Can you ear me?…and throw that empty box their way. Then, watch them entertain you.

Did you ear what I said?

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – December 4, 2017

Bow-Tie waking upDear Friends,

It’s that time of year again.

Big yawn, because it’s the same old thing every year.

It’s the time of year we pets call, “Humor the humans.”

Bow-Tie with SantaOne guess what we had to do this weekend.

We had to go see Santa.

I wasn’t impressed, but the little girls wanted to go.

Is Santa choking Broshi? It’s Broshi’s first Christmas, so it was important for her to go.

…when Santa first held her, he put her in a choke hold.

That isn’t good for the cat, or for the photo.

I had to have a talk with him.

Courage and SantaHe did better with Courage.

She’s not one to be put in an awkward position, and I think he knew that.

Pilot and SantaAnd then there was the dog.

She had to have her picture, because it’s her first Christmas too.

Santa with BroshiWe finally got a nice picture of Broshi…

…minus the choke hold, thank you.

Pilot with antlersAll in all it was a fun day and I’ll say this, cats have it better than dogs.

When cats go to see Santa he may not know how to handle us, but we still look good.

Only a dog would allow a human to humiliate them publicly and enjoy it.

You’ll never see a cat wearing stupid antlers.

Happy Santa photos, everyone!

Bow-Tie is a donutDear Friends,

I hope your Thanksgiving was enjoyable.

Me? I’m stuck back at Halloween.

Bow-Tie is literally a donutRemember the donuts?

Remember my donut costume?

Just when I thought this was in the past, it has come back around.

Guess what?

I got a call from a local pet supply store; Cats n Dogs.

They said I won Best Cat Costume in their contest!

Bow-Tie and Miss NancyHow exciting!

I went right over to Cats n Dogs to collect my prize.

Miss Nancy owns the store and is a really nice lady.

Bow-Tie won a scratcherShe gave me my prize.

It’s a really nice cat scratcher complete with cosmic catnip.

Bow-Tie finds the good stuffThat’s not all.

She pulled out a special box with some heavy duty catnip.

Far out!

Bow-Tie found free treatsThe best part was I got to surf her counter.

Of course I found the free samples.

It was for dogs and too hard for me to chew, but I sure licked it pretty good.

(No, the samples weren’t chicken feet. I wanted no part of that.)

Bow-Tie is a donutMoral of this story?

It pays to be a donut!

Love to you all!

Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – November 20, 2017

Bow-Tie in the boothDear Friends,

What a busy and exciting weekend.

We went out of town to a cat show.

The theme of the show was falling leaves, so I wore my bow tie with leaves on it.

The crowd was impressed.

Bow-Tie in the boothMy job at the show was to hold down the booth and make sure things were in order.

The crowd was big and they all wanted to meet me.

My blog fame is astounding… and humbling.

Bow-Tie with his money boxAnother job I had was to watch the Cat Depot donation box.

All the donations go to the Friends Like Me fund for special needs cats.

Broshi taking a restBroshi came with us.

This was her debut into the show ring.

She took a few moments before entering the ring to rest and get her cuteness going.

Broshi getting love from the judgesOnce she entered the ring, the judges fell in love with her.

Each judge took their turn, cuddling this little love bug.

Broshi getting love from the judgesEvery ring was the same thing.

The judges fell under the spell of her sweetness.

Broshi getting some loveThe crowd was drawn to her too.

We don’t even know this lady, but we almost didn’t get Broshi back from her.

Bow-Tie meeting some friends from Cat DepotMe?

I was back at the booth, greeting the crowd.

It was so nice to see two dear Cat Depot friends.

They came a long way just to see me.

Broshi in the hotelCat shows are fun.

We made new friends.

We got donations for the Friends Like Me fund.

We brought awareness and respect to the special needs cats of the world.

Little blind Broshi is just as good as any of those fancy pants cats!

It was a very good weekend.

Love to you all!

Bow-Tie and BroshiDear Friends,

Happy Veterans’ Day Weekend!

This weekend we honor the men and women who keep our country safe.

This weekend we honor the men and women who gave their lives to ensure our freedom.

Broshi formalLittle Broshi wanted to help me with this message.

She’s very patriotic.

Broshi reaches for Bow-Tie's heartI’m always serious in our photo shoots, but Broshi is playful.

I’m being serious and she is trying to touch my heart.

Broshi touching Bow-Tie's heartShe’s done it.

She has touched my heart – in oh so many ways.

Broshi stole Bow-Tie's heartShe didn’t just touch my heart; she stole my heart. Literally.

I’m happy she stole my heart.

I give it to her willingly.

No one can steal our freedom, though.

This weekend we honor our Veterans.

Bow-Tie and BroshiThank you for our freedom.

Love you all!

There are so many clocksDear Friends,

What time is it?

It’s time to change the clocks again.

Bow-Tie looks at the clocksWhy do we change the clocks?

What was wrong with the old time?

It’s a pretty big task to change them all.

How many clocks do you have to change?

I have to change plenty of them.

Bow-Tie has his own clockI even have my own clock to change…

…I have to spin the dials on her pretty face.

You have to keep checking the clockWhen you change the clocks, you have to keep checking the time.

It’s difficult to get them all just perfect.

Clock down! Clock down! There’s usually some incident along the way, too.

Well, at least there is over here, anyway.

Bow-Tie rubs against the clockThere’s one thing I really love about clocks this time of the year.

And I really love that one thing.

We got one extra hour of sleep! We get to sleep one more hour!

Any time I get to sleep one more hour I’m happy.

I love one thing about the time change...Enjoy your extra hour!

I sure will.
