Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – October 31, 2016

Bow-Tie in hat and bandanaHowdy Pardners!

Excuse my unsightly costume.

It’s way beneath me, but I wore it to make a point.

We need to talk about this Halloween thing again.

Halloween can be dangerous for your cats.

You will likely be opening and shutting the door all night.

It’s very easy for your beloved cat to slip out the door.

Once outside, they will become confused.

They really didn’t mean to run out.

They were afraid of all the commotion and just got lost in the shuffle.

If you don’t see them right away it only gets worse.

Bow-Tie in the jungleThey can become very afraid and try to hide.

They may not even come if you call them, once you realize they’re gone.

Bow-Tie outdoorsThey won’t like it out there, and they won’t know what to do.

I’m not trying to make you feel bad.

I just want to remind you to keep your kitties safe on Halloween night.

Bow-Tie snuggled up in bedYou know where they want to be.

Snuggled safely in the house.

Please keep an extra eye on them, or lock them safely in a room away from the door.

…from someone who knows how kitties think!

Enjoy Halloween and be safe.

Love you all!

  1. Hi Bowtie,

Great message, buddy! I can’t understand why our humans must dress us up. I think we are handsome just as we are. Have a safe Halloween!

  2. You look great in your costume, Bow-Tie. Mom found this photo of me in the Cat Depot archives. I’m not too happy about her knowing I accept wearing hats – now she might want me wearing things all the time. Humans, cute but impossible.
