Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – September 6, 2016

Bow-Tie shows off his money bow tieHi Everyone,

This is September.

There will be four blogs in September.

I know that, because I looked at the calendar.

I also know it because this is the month I have a very important job.

See my tie?

Interesting, isn’t it?

Money.

It’s a human thing, but this month it becomes a cat thing too.

Bow-Tie in a pile of moneyThis month is the most important event in the life of Cat Depot.

Have you ever heard of the Giving Challenge?

The Giving Challenge is where every dollar donated to Cat Depot is doubled or tripled!

That’s right!

Every $1 you give can turn into $3 for the cats!

Bow-Tie poses with the newsletterIf you’re on the mailing list for Cat Depot’s newsletter you read all about it.

If you’re not on the mailing list for the newsletter, why not?

It’s free, and there are always great articles about cats and cat care.

Bow-Tie sniffs moneyCat Depot participated in the Giving Challenge last year too.

The newsletter says that when the money was all counted they raised over $126,000!

That money provided a lot of cat care.

Bow-Tie is gratefulI was actually one of the cats saved last year with that money.

Had it not been for that funding, I would not be here writing this blog for you.

That is my reality.

I am so thankful to Cat Depot for saving me.

You know who else is thankful to Cat Depot?

Here’s some boring (to a cat) numbers from 2015:

1,648 cats were spayed in the Rose Durham Cat Care Clinic.

6,600 kittens were kept off the streets because of those spays.

1,430 cats and kittens were accepted into Cat Depot for adoption.

1,332 cats and kittens were adopted.

The list of things Cat Depot does with moeny is even longer.

Here’s the most important thing to me…

Bow-Tie thinks about food

…in addition to feeding all of the Cat Depot cats, they provided food for:

2,798 personal cats for people who were having a hard time

5,933 community cats living outside

That is a whopping 19,522 pounds of dry food and 8,757 cans of wet food!

Now, that’s impressive (to me anyway)

Bow-Tie really likes foodAhhh… still thinking about that food!

Sorry.

Stay tuned for my next two blogs.

I’ll help you understand the Giving Challenge and then I’ll challenge you to help me.

It will be fun.

Who doesn’t want to see their $1 turn into $3 just like magic?

Next week I have a big public event and you won’t want to miss the blog.

Don’t run away because I may be asking for your money.

I’ll still entertain you, and you’ll still be glad you know me.

Bow-Tie has a cute noseI’ve got my eye on you!

Until next week,

Bow-Tie
The Dapper Gent
