Hi Everyone,
We were out of town last weekend at a cat show.
It was full of those “fancy pants” cats.
So, being shelter cats we needed to do something special to stand out.
That’s what I do best.
Who could resist this face and these eyes?
But you see this paper I’m lying on?
It’s the story and pictures of where I came from.
I pass it out to everyone, and they are so interested.
It’s about the terrible beginning I had, and where I am today.
When they read it, something exciting happens.
The dig into their pockets and wallets and give me money!
I love collecting money for the Friends Like Me Fund for special needs cats!
Of course there is a lot of socializing to do.
People come from all over to see me and hug me.
Ladies I don’t even know want to get some “Bow-Tie time.”
I’m happy to oblige.
There were little people there too.
She asked for her picture with me.
Then I found out what she really asked for…
…to “see the kitty with no tail!”
Come on kid, I have other attributes!
Courage was there too, and she went into the show ring.
She did really good and brought a lot of awareness to special needs cats.
Our favorite Cat Depot Volunteer, Miss Mary, was there to help watch over us.
She was a lot of fun.
Thanks, Friend!
It was a very tiring weekend, but profitable for special needs cats.
We got donations, we got recognition, and…
…we got tired.
Tired in a good way, though.
We’re working for special needs cats, and that matters!
See you next week, says the “Cat with no tail!”
