Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – August 1, 2016

Dear Everyone,Bow-Tie and the stuffed pig

What a strange week.

I haven’t been feeling very good lately.

I’m sneezing, wheezing, my eyes are running, and I’m tired.

So, I went to the vet.

When I got home, I had a new friend waiting.

(That’s a pig on the left and me on the right, in case you can’t tell.) Hee hee.

Bow-Tie sniffs the stuffed pigEven though I was under the weather, I still showed a little love to the pig.

I couldn’t figure out why he was there though.

Bow-Tie and the stuffed pigThis was getting weird.

Why was the pig here?

Annie Sullivan with Bow-Tie and the stuffed pigAnnie Sullivan knew, but she didn’t want to tell me.

That’s when I knew it wasn’t good.

Turns out when I went to the vet she wasn’t sure what was wrong with me.

I have had this sneezing and wheezing off and on for a long time.

It’s a result of where I came from in that horrible environment.

This time the vet wanted to get to the bottom of it once and for all.

She gave me all kinds of tests.

Bow-Tie looks sternOne of the tests was for Swine Flu!!!

What???!!!

Yep.

It’s rare, but cats can get Swine Flu.

The symptoms are the same as mine, so she wanted to test for it.

We anxiously awaited the results.

The results are in… NO swine flu!

It’s a stubborn bacteria that’s been hanging on for a long time.

I just have to take medicine for a month.

Bow-Tie is happy to be healthyThat made me smile.

So I whispered to my new friend…

Bow-Tie whispers to the pig…no Swine Flu, so you can go now.

He oinked back, “When pigs fly. I like it here!”

Bow-Tie gave the stuffed pig a crinkle ballSo I did what I do for all my friends.

I gave him a foil ball and space to sleep with me.

Bow-Tie ready for a napHah!

Take that, Swine Flu!

Love,

Bow-Tie,
The Dapper Gent

  1. I’m sorry to hear you are a little under the weather, Bow-Tie. I’m not sure what that means, but I heard my Mom say it. Anyway, I hope you feel better. Take your medicine like a big cat. I have to take medicine every morning, cause I get constipated… not sure what that means either! Humans use some crazy words. Why can’t they speak “meow” talk that we can understand?

    Take care, good buddy.

  2. Hi Bow-Tie, I’m so sorry to hear you aren’t well. I’m glad we got to the bottom of it. Love your piggy. HA HA human. Feel better sweet boy, we love our Bow-Tie, such a sweet and caring gent
