Bow-Tie’s Bulletin – June 20, 2016

Bow-Tie with a film cameraHi Everyone,

It’s Bow-Tie on location (well, kind of.)

I’m reporting from the movie mecca of the USA… California.

Guess who lives there?

HunterMy very special friend Hunter.

Isn’t he handsome?

He’s the special needs kitty who was lucky enough to be adopted from Cat Depot and flown to California.

He has a neurological disorder that gives him the wobbles when he walks.

He also has a wobbly head, and that makes him so cute.

I sent my mom out to California to check on him. (I don’t like flying.)

Hunter with his dadHis dad brought him outside to meet his guests.

When Hunter as born he wasn’t able to walk very well at all.

He spent some time in a foster home to gain some strength.

Now he can walk, run, and jump, but he still wobbles (in a cute way.)

Hunter going up the stairsHunter lives on the second floor…

…and he has no trouble at all going all the way up by himself.

Hunter waiting by the doorHe knows exactly where he lives.

He lead the way right to his door.

Hunter showing his favorite spotThe first thing Hunter did was show off his favorite spot.

He likes to sit and look out the window.

He also keeps his memories of Cat Depot close to him.

Hunter posing for a photoHunter’s legs are still all wobbly, and he will be like that forever.

He’s a very special guy and has a very special home.

It’s a wonderful thing when one of the Friends Like Me cats is adopted.

It’s an even more wonderful thing to see them in their happy home.

All good things come to an end, and sadly so did the visit with Hunter.

As he watched his visitors leave…

… I know he is thankful for the wonderful life he has now.

And it’s thanks to Cat Depot and the Friends Like Me program for special needs cats.

Hunter waving bye byeBye bye from Hunter.

And bye bye from me until next week.

Bow-Tie,
The Dapper Gent

  1. I love this, it reinforces my belief that The Cat Depot is a wonderful place, especially when it comes to special needs and senior kitties, love these happy endings, the donut dozen Hunter, Bow-Tie, Sonny, Samson and so much more. To the Pawsome employees and volunteers, and especially to Roommate and Typist, thank you from the bottom of my heart and all the furry hearts you save

  2. Hunter and I are very thankful to the staff at Cat Depot and especially, Dennis Kane, for opening the door to his wonderful future.

And of course, we’re extremely indepted to the efforts of Nancy Colby, Bow-Tie, and Mighty Lou, for opening this cat owner’s eyes to the pleasure of adopting a special needs cat.
