Right up front, let me tell you I hope I didn’t put my foot in my mouth.
Courage has been begging me to write the blog one week.
So, this week I said yes, since she attended an event alone.
Be patient with her…
…she’s young…
Hi Everybody!
It’s me, Courage!
Bow-Tie is letting me write about my adventure this weekend, so here goes.
It was cold – by Florida standards – so I got my sweater on and waited to leave.
We were headed to an event in Fort Myers for the benefit of dogs.
When we got there it was really windy, but I was so happy to be there.
The event was called Purses for Pooches.
People bid on designer purses and all the money went to help dogs in need.
I checked them all out.
Since I couldn’t see them I had to use the touch-and-smell method.
Wait until you see the one I picked to bid on!
There were a lot of raffle items too.
This one smells like I’m too young for what’s in the bottle.
There were dogs there for adoption, but this little guy already has a home.
His name is Jackson.
There was a nice lunch served…
…obviously I was a little early for the food.
When the bidding was about to begin, I got my paddle all ready.
We were number 76, and there was one item we were not going to miss.
We bid and bid, and finally won.
It was the priceless purse Mighty Lou gave Lily exactly one year ago at the same event.
We just had to bring it back home, to honor Mighty Lou and help the dogs.
It’s beautiful and sparkly.
Inside there was a gift certificate to Petco, so I can get some treats.
Wait! Wait!
Uh oh…
And right there, folks…
…you have the reason why I will be writing the blog next week.
Thanks, Courage
